SWEETS FOR MY SWEET (The Searchers)

Sweets for my sweet, sugar for my honey
Your first sweet kiss thrilled me so
Sweets for my sweet, sugar for my honey
I'll never ever let you go

If you wanted that star that shines so brightly
To match the stardust in your eye
Darling, I would chase that bright star nightly
And try to steal it from the sky
And I would bring

Sweets for my sweet, sugar for my honey
Your first sweet kiss thrilled me so
Sweets for my sweet, sugar for my honey
I'll never ever let you go

If you wanted a king to keep you smilin'
I'd tell the sandman you were blue
And I'd ask him to keep that sand a-pilin'
Until your dreams had all come true
And I would bring

Sweets for my sweet, sugar for my honey
Your first sweet kiss thrilled me so
Sweets for my sweet, sugar for my honey
I'll never ever let you go

And if you wanted a love to last forever
Darlin' I would send my love your way
And my love'd not only last forever
But forever and a day
And I would bring

Sweets for my sweet, sugar for my honey
Your first sweet kiss thrilled me so
Sweets for my sweet, sugar for my honey
I'll never ever let you go

Wanted to have it here as well

I

Closer than each breath,
For you I look everywhere:
Where are you hiding?

II

Here I mourn and fast
Yet behind the veil my love
Waits for me, naked.

III

Possessing you, I
Shall not be me but you -
Who will then be I?

IV

To express my love
In seventeen syllables?
Too few! Too many.

My birthday - 31 to avoid any misconceptions :)

Somehow I never thought of the idea of going towards 40 years. Always thought about the magical age of 30, for which Balzac described a mature, secure and wonderful woman. And guess what? Am passed the 30 and going towards the 40! And you know what? I don't really care! I can still be happy like a teenager when I discover a pair of shoes which I adore (yes, I know my passion!), still can drink 2 glasses of wine and feel dizzy, still be surprised when more than 50 friends call / write / text for my special day. I would like to thank them all! They are the ones (alongside with my beautiful family) that make me what I am. A woman who is 31 years old and 2 days.

Motto

"A story is not like a road to follow … it's more like a house. You go inside and stay there for a while, wandering back and forth and settling where you like and discovering how the room and corridors relate to each other, how the world outside is altered by being viewed from these windows. And you, the visitor, the reader, are altered as well by being in this enclosed space, whether it is ample and easy or full of crooked turns, or sparsely or opulently furnished. You can go back again and again, and the house, the story, always contains more than you saw the last time. It also has a sturdy sense of itself of being built out of its own necessity, not just to shelter or beguile you."
