Plane discussion

Posted by Claudia Moser on 4:03 PM
An important manager enters the plane and notices that the seat next to him is already occupied by a young girl.

The plane departes and the manager addresses the girl:
'I've read that the time passes faster while flying if passengers talk to each other. Would you be interested to talk with me?'

The small girls says
'Of course, gladly. Which topic would you like to address?'

The manager
'Well what do you think about electricity generated by nuclear power?'

The girl
'Sure, but first will you allow a question from my side?'

The manager, smiling
'Yes, please'

The girl
'So a horse, a cow and a deer are all eating the same thing: grass. But the deer’s shit is made out of small balls, the cow produces round flats and the horse chunks of dried grass. So, what is the reason behind this?’

The manager thinks deeply and says
‘I have absolutely no idea!’

To this answer, the girls reaction is
‘Under these circumstances do you consider that you are competent enough to discuss about electricity generated by nuclear power, even if you don’t know one thing about shit!’

Motto

"A story is not like a road to follow … it's more like a house. You go inside and stay there for a while, wandering back and forth and settling where you like and discovering how the room and corridors relate to each other, how the world outside is altered by being viewed from these windows. And you, the visitor, the reader, are altered as well by being in this enclosed space, whether it is ample and easy or full of crooked turns, or sparsely or opulently furnished. You can go back again and again, and the house, the story, always contains more than you saw the last time. It also has a sturdy sense of itself of being built out of its own necessity, not just to shelter or beguile you."
