Monday's special

Posted by Claudia Moser on 8:53 AM in
For sure there is only one word possible for today's special, namely love. My last GBE2 entry was linked to first love, therefore please find below some relevant quotes.

We are
People who need to love, because
Love is the soul's life,
Love is simply creation's greatest joy.

- Hafiz of Persia

Life has taught us that love does not consist in gazing at each other but in looking outward together in the same direction.

-Saint-Exupery

True love is like ghosts, which everybody talks about and few have seen.

-La Rochefoucauld

Better to have loved and lost, than to have never loved at all.

-St. Augustine

A very small degree of hope is sufficient to cause the birth of love.

-Stendhal

There is no remedy for love but to love more.

-Thoreau

Spread love everywhere you go: first of all in your own house. Give love to your children, to your wife or husband, to a next door neighbor... Let no one ever come to you without leaving better and happier. Be the living expression of God's kindness; kindness in your face, kindness in your eyes, kindness in your smile, kindness in your warm greeting.

-Mother Theresa

Morning Claudia. Hope all is well! Great quotes on love to start the week with, but I particularly loved the one by Mother Theresa. She must have been a very special woman, because I love all her quotes.

As Thisisme commented, such a wonderful way to begin a new week...focussing on LOVE! I, too, enjoyed them all but particularly those humble words spoken by Mother Theresa! Such simple instructions that can make a huge change worldwide if only we'd all heed them!

I wish you a wonderful week, Claudia!

@Diane - all is kind of well. I had a small accident on the plane from Estonia and now I am trying to recover. Long story! And Mother Theresa was indeed very special!
@Desiree - Love is one the most important constant in my life, blessed with many love sources :) A lovely week for you too!
@Karen - nice play of words!

I could hug your neck, as they say here in the south. Beautiful post.

Thank you Jim, very kind of you!

These are beautiful. I 'love' that Mother Theresa quote.

Langley, that is why I left it at the end!

Motto

"A story is not like a road to follow … it's more like a house. You go inside and stay there for a while, wandering back and forth and settling where you like and discovering how the room and corridors relate to each other, how the world outside is altered by being viewed from these windows. And you, the visitor, the reader, are altered as well by being in this enclosed space, whether it is ample and easy or full of crooked turns, or sparsely or opulently furnished. You can go back again and again, and the house, the story, always contains more than you saw the last time. It also has a sturdy sense of itself of being built out of its own necessity, not just to shelter or beguile you."
