Dancing quotes

Posted by Claudia Moser on 10:01 PM
Today on the way back home I listened to I can't dance by Genesis and somehow the song remained in my head for the remaining of the evening, thus the inspiration for today's quotes:

Please send me your last pair of shoes, worn out with dancing as you mentioned in your letter, so that I might have something to press against my heart. ~Johann Wolfgang von Goethe

I would believe only in a God that knows how to dance. ~Friedrich Nietzsche

and my all time favourite

Dancing: the vertical expression of a horizontal desire legalized by music. ~George Bernard Shaw

A wonderful evening to you all!

I love the shoe quote. How romantic is that?!
I think God likes dancing. "David danced before the Lord with all his might." Must have been fun.

Love the Shaw quote! my kind of dancing!

Motto

"A story is not like a road to follow … it's more like a house. You go inside and stay there for a while, wandering back and forth and settling where you like and discovering how the room and corridors relate to each other, how the world outside is altered by being viewed from these windows. And you, the visitor, the reader, are altered as well by being in this enclosed space, whether it is ample and easy or full of crooked turns, or sparsely or opulently furnished. You can go back again and again, and the house, the story, always contains more than you saw the last time. It also has a sturdy sense of itself of being built out of its own necessity, not just to shelter or beguile you."
