Well, it is Halloween so thought that quotes will be suitable

Only the knife knows what goes on in the heart of a pumpkin.
by Simone Schwarz-Bart

Vegetables are a must on a diet. I suggest carrot cake, zucchini bread, and pumpkin pie.
by Jim Davis

We fancy men are individuals; so are pumpkins; but every pumpkin in the field goes through every point of pumpkin history.
by Ralph Waldo Emerson

and

Pixie, kobold, elf, and sprite,
All are on their rounds tonight;
In the wan moon's silver ray,
Thrives their helter-skelter play.
by Joel Benton

Nothing on Earth so beautiful as the final haul on Halloween night.
by Steve Almond

Nothing beats a haunted moonlit night on All Hallows Eve.... And on this fatal night, at this witching time, the starless sky laments black and unmoving. The somber hues of an ominous, dark forest are suddenly illuminated under the emerging face of the full moon.

Lovely quotes! Often wish South Africa got more involved in Halloween, looks like so much fun!

I popped over to give you a scare...but I see you don't DO Halloween in Germany, either (as we don't, here in SA!). Oh, well! Too bad...I probably wasn't scary enough anyway :( Hope you're having a great evening!

Motto

"A story is not like a road to follow … it's more like a house. You go inside and stay there for a while, wandering back and forth and settling where you like and discovering how the room and corridors relate to each other, how the world outside is altered by being viewed from these windows. And you, the visitor, the reader, are altered as well by being in this enclosed space, whether it is ample and easy or full of crooked turns, or sparsely or opulently furnished. You can go back again and again, and the house, the story, always contains more than you saw the last time. It also has a sturdy sense of itself of being built out of its own necessity, not just to shelter or beguile you."
