Not choosing a favourite today, these are all powerful quotes.

All powerful quotes, I agree but I like the second one best. Being helpless doesn't mean we've run out of something good to do.

I love the first one by Abraham Lincoln. How many of us in our lives, have stayed silent, when we really should have spoken up about some injustice or other.

@Sarah - powerful indeed, you are right
@Izdiher - true
@Anne - never give up right?
@Diane - indeed, you need to have the courage to speak up!

I feel strongly about some things and I really should protest about it to the right people. I guess I always think no one would care what I thought. I did protest to Arizona about it's health policy.

@Belle - wow, you did protest? Well done Belle!

Motto

"A story is not like a road to follow … it's more like a house. You go inside and stay there for a while, wandering back and forth and settling where you like and discovering how the room and corridors relate to each other, how the world outside is altered by being viewed from these windows. And you, the visitor, the reader, are altered as well by being in this enclosed space, whether it is ample and easy or full of crooked turns, or sparsely or opulently furnished. You can go back again and again, and the house, the story, always contains more than you saw the last time. It also has a sturdy sense of itself of being built out of its own necessity, not just to shelter or beguile you."
