5-line poetry - Joy

Posted by Claudia Moser on 7:02 PM in
5-line poetry is fun. All lines rhyme but one. The fourth line to be exact. Let's twist things up a bit. The last word of the fourth line will be the new word for the next person to rhyme.

Chain inspired by Diana and by Cathy

Sounds of joy, oh, sounds of joy
The happiness you drive in me, boy
The love you manage to employ
The roses you give to me with a smile
Sounds of joy, oh, sounds of joy

Next word: smile

Very kind, Marian, as usual :)

You did very well with the poem, Claudia. Hope the sun is shining over there for you.

@Diane - it was a mixed day, we had sun, clouds and a bit of rain. I hope you are enjoying your weekend!

That was pretty darn good. You are a writer and a poet.

The poem is really lovely...how does one participate? I'm not sure if I'm quite up to snuff but I'd love to hear how/where you do this.

Hugs~

Motto

"A story is not like a road to follow … it's more like a house. You go inside and stay there for a while, wandering back and forth and settling where you like and discovering how the room and corridors relate to each other, how the world outside is altered by being viewed from these windows. And you, the visitor, the reader, are altered as well by being in this enclosed space, whether it is ample and easy or full of crooked turns, or sparsely or opulently furnished. You can go back again and again, and the house, the story, always contains more than you saw the last time. It also has a sturdy sense of itself of being built out of its own necessity, not just to shelter or beguile you."
