High & Low

After a long working day yesterday, 17 hours out of which 11 spend in London (but no excitement there, I saw London from the taxi!), I was a bit beat today. So many emails, meetings, phone calls, decisions, assessments, comparisons ... that I was so happy to meet Peter in town, have a coffee, get some sushi and relax.

Now, in my comfy armchair, with lavender scent in my nostrils, I cool down and think that in the end I will remember the capuccino, Peter's support and my homey feeling. That counts right?

Peter's support and homely comforts
- what more could you ask for
dear Claudia.

Wishing you well my friend.

That certainly does count my friend. That's what life is all about really. Sorry you had such a busy time of it, but at least you have your holiday to look forward to. Yay!!

The little things count a lot. In fact, I think the little things are very, very important.

@Fiona - yes, I am lucky to have Peter in my life!
@Diane - yes, one more day and then I will be able to relax!
@Belle - so true!

"A story is not like a road to follow … it's more like a house. You go inside and stay there for a while, wandering back and forth and settling where you like and discovering how the room and corridors relate to each other, how the world outside is altered by being viewed from these windows. And you, the visitor, the reader, are altered as well by being in this enclosed space, whether it is ample and easy or full of crooked turns, or sparsely or opulently furnished. You can go back again and again, and the house, the story, always contains more than you saw the last time. It also has a sturdy sense of itself of being built out of its own necessity, not just to shelter or beguile you."
