Japan - earthquake

There are no words to describe what is going on in Japan, earthquake, tsunami, pain, death. Nature is powerful and now we observe, from a fair distance, the effects of its rage.

Nevertheless on a personal level I am relieved that my friend, Lary, living in Tokio is OK, her kids are safe. I am so glad, trying to reach her on the phone did not work though!

Strangely enough, the media is full with information, somehow the pain is part of our day to day life and in a way I find this live-updates a bit respectless. These entries like
10.20 A new wave hit region X

Why do we need to know? We should just pray that as many as possible are safe and that the ones who survive will not suffer too much.

I'm so glad that your friend is safe and sound. It is horrendous these tragedies that are happening around the world, isn't it? I so agree with you about the lack of respect by the media, and I actually wrote a post about it after the New Zealand quake.
