Under the sign of eleven

Posted by Claudia Moser on 8:53 PM in , , ,
Beth from Word Nerd Speaks had a list of very interesting questions which I felt answering. Most likely since I am in a hotel in the middle of nowhere and no much entertainment available.

When did you start feeling like a grown-up?
When my mother allowed me to go shopping on my own for the first time, I think I was eight. Rather early right? It was sure only in my mind, but great feeling, still feel proud when I look back.

What celebrity made your heart go pitter-patter when you were a kid/tween/teen?

Does anyone know Jason Donovan? I did enjoy his music so much and I remember that once one classmate wanted a date and gave me a cassette with his music. I took it but no date :)

What song do you and your sweetie think of as “your” song?
We actually do not have one, but we both enjoy Beatles. Strange but we don't!

Do you consider yourself patriotic? Why or why not?
Not really, not the extreme one. I love my country, I am very proud of its achievements, but I am not overdoing it!

What is something you once believed, but no longer do?
I cannot say that I lost my faith in anything or anyone.

Jean shorts: Just fine or a sure sign of extreme dorkiness?
Not anymore, I don't have the age for wearing them.

Has an infomercial ever prompted you to make a purchase? If so, what did you buy?
I am tempted to buy a Mercedes after seeing the commercial so often lately, during the European Football Championship. Happily I don't have the money :)

What snack do you have hidden in the back of the cupboard/fridge?
Cashew nuts, love them!

What book or movie seemed to speak to the masses, but didn’t do much for you?
To be honest the Pirates of the Carribean, I simply did not get it!

What do you wear to bed?
PJs, don't you? :)

Is there a story of you as a child that your parents told so many times that it became part of your history? Something cute or funny you said or did, maybe? Care to share?
The stories of the 1000 nights, adored them and still read them from time to time, so full of wisdom.

Good night!

Eleven & Smile

Posted by Claudia Moser on 9:11 AM in , ,
Izdiher tagged me in her Eleven post, where she asks 11 questions and challenges you to create other 11 questions for whomever you want.

Here we go:

1.You look like?
When I was younger like Sinead O’Connor, I had very short hair and big blue eyes. The eyes remained but the hair is a bit longer now.

2.You live like?
Hm, what shall I answer to this? I live in a flat with my husband and our dog, Naila. Is this OK Izdiher?

3.Where are your keys?
In my bag during the weekends or in my laptop bag during working days.

4.How much money do you have in your pockets at a moment?
50 Euro

5.You love those places  where ......... ?
I can relax, strangely enough it can even be on the street, or in a spa, or on a mountain, or on a beach or …

6.Where is Africa?
Below Europe J

7.You are hooked  to?
Books, coffee and smiles

8.What came first egg or hen?
Tough question, can I answer both? :

9.Why Zebra  wears striped dress?
She wants to be fashionable

10.Why  sun is yellow?
Because it wants to be bright

11.Your dream bf/gf  is ?
I already found her, Moni.

Since today's theme under BFF is Smile, I did answered them in a funny way (I hope at least), and I thought that my questions should be a bit different:
  1. Have you ever imagined a world with no hypothetical situations?
  2. If you try to fail, and succeed, which have you done?
  3. Do fish get thirsty?
  4. Why is Greenland made of ice and Iceland made of green grass?
  5. Why do they call the airport a terminal if flying is supposed to be safe?
  6. How did James Bond know if his martini was shaken and not stirred?
  7. Why is bra singular and panties plural?
  8. Why is the man who handles all your money called a broker?
  9. If the sky is the limit, then what is space?
  10. Can you cry under water?
  11. If you drink Pepsi at work in the Coke factory, will they fire you?
  12. Why are a "wise man" and a "wise guy" opposites?

As for whom to address this, I would actually let you decide, my readers. If you want to take it over, great! If you want to answer some in a comment, fine with me. You choose but what counts is to have fun!!!

Happy Friday, spring is just around the corner!

Motto

"A story is not like a road to follow … it's more like a house. You go inside and stay there for a while, wandering back and forth and settling where you like and discovering how the room and corridors relate to each other, how the world outside is altered by being viewed from these windows. And you, the visitor, the reader, are altered as well by being in this enclosed space, whether it is ample and easy or full of crooked turns, or sparsely or opulently furnished. You can go back again and again, and the house, the story, always contains more than you saw the last time. It also has a sturdy sense of itself of being built out of its own necessity, not just to shelter or beguile you."
