'Us' day

Posted by Claudia Moser on 7:59 PM
Saturday without any plans, pretty unusual. I somehow end up having plans for me and / or for us on a regular basis including almost each weekend. But not today! And we were pretty happy with the situation and decided to have an 'US' day.

A nice breakfast, not hurried, no coffee on the run. Then a nice walk towards the city center, with a nice cappuccino on the way. Some nice shops visited (did not buy much, I promise :))), then lizzard approach to life, namely sitting on a terasse under the glorious sunshine, again cappuccino. We just gathered energy, it felt so amazing, finaly spring, great sun, warm and cozy! Some more shopping, then slowly home. The hours were spend together, we had some nice chats, it was simply great!

A small intermezzo at home, biathlon world championship, one of my favourite sport ever! And the Germans did win today!

Then me cooking (chicken, mushrooms and baked potatoes, followed by tiramisu, homemade, my own specialty), Peter working a bit. As far as I could tell, the food was appreciated, I hope it wasn't this case:

The afternoon included some nice reading, somehow it did us so good to do whatever we wanted, what we felt, even if that implied just sitting and talking!

Us day, should happen again!

Those are the best kind of days, aren't they?! You are my first follower from Germany, so that's nice. I was in Fallingbostel for three years (near enough mid way between Hamburg & Hannover). I loved Celle, and we had a wonderful holiday touring the Rhein.

Hi Claudia! ~ Just wanted to thank you for visiting my blog and becoming a "follower"! I am going to return the favor and follow you! :)

Motto

"A story is not like a road to follow … it's more like a house. You go inside and stay there for a while, wandering back and forth and settling where you like and discovering how the room and corridors relate to each other, how the world outside is altered by being viewed from these windows. And you, the visitor, the reader, are altered as well by being in this enclosed space, whether it is ample and easy or full of crooked turns, or sparsely or opulently furnished. You can go back again and again, and the house, the story, always contains more than you saw the last time. It also has a sturdy sense of itself of being built out of its own necessity, not just to shelter or beguile you."
