BlogFest 2012 Day 4 - Will You Take Charge?

Posted by Claudia Moser on 1:55 PM in , ,
Now this is a question. Stuart really challenged me with prompt, since it is so mysterious, take charge of what? Of my life? Surely.

Somehow taking charge has a negative connotation, since it implies force.

But one implication I find rather appealing, the one which is defined by Les Brown as following:

“We must look for ways to be an active force in our own lives. We must take charge of our own destinies, design a life of substance and truly begin to live our dreams.”

So this is my personal approach:

@Miss B - you do travel, I agree ;)
@Izdiher :)
@Cloudy - nur Regen heute :(

Someone recently told me that they were in complete charge of their free time, but their job dictates their real choices in life. My response? Didn't you Choose the job? Perhaps, begin the search for a less demanding job?

Amazes me how people believe other things choose for them...not true...you are where you are by your own choices in each previous situation. Some good, some not so good. Some choices are forever, parenthood for example...others temporary, jobs for example.

Love this, Claudia!

Excellent post Claudia :)

Motto

"A story is not like a road to follow … it's more like a house. You go inside and stay there for a while, wandering back and forth and settling where you like and discovering how the room and corridors relate to each other, how the world outside is altered by being viewed from these windows. And you, the visitor, the reader, are altered as well by being in this enclosed space, whether it is ample and easy or full of crooked turns, or sparsely or opulently furnished. You can go back again and again, and the house, the story, always contains more than you saw the last time. It also has a sturdy sense of itself of being built out of its own necessity, not just to shelter or beguile you."
