BlogFest 2012 Day 9 - How Technology Has Made Traveling Easier Today

Posted by Claudia Moser on 2:29 PM in , , ,
Kate has an interesting topic today, and since I do my share of travelling (there are some months when I am on the road / air each week) I believe that the most obvious answer to this is the plane, one piece of technology which makes our life so easier, you check in, board, take a nap and here you are, Kolkata.

I am sure most of you have enjoyed Jules Verne's 80 days around the world, and imagine how complicated it was to travel. But I must admit, it has its charm as well, speed is not always positive, sometimes you need to slow down and appreciate what surrounds you.

Something to make you smile:

Travelling Thoughts

Posted by Claudia Moser on 8:59 PM in , ,
Some random thoughts collected during my travel day.

Glad there is a business lounge at Frankfurt airport where I could chill before my flight takes off, love the latte there plus they always have nice fresh fruit!

My plane had 80 minutes delay which was minimized in the end at 35 minutes. While waiting I read a fascinating entry on a blog. It deals with the unrests in London, check it out, including the comments, it has a broad approach to the issue!

My companion was a wonderful book called What the Dog Saw by Malcom Gladwell, check this review, it tells you a lot about its creative content.

A visitor from the past on the radio, Nirvana

Wonderful scenary in Estonia, landed while heavy rain was pouring all around and until I reached my hotel, I saw deep blue sky, with fascinating clouds.

Tomorrow is another day, let's see what it brings ...

Motto

"A story is not like a road to follow … it's more like a house. You go inside and stay there for a while, wandering back and forth and settling where you like and discovering how the room and corridors relate to each other, how the world outside is altered by being viewed from these windows. And you, the visitor, the reader, are altered as well by being in this enclosed space, whether it is ample and easy or full of crooked turns, or sparsely or opulently furnished. You can go back again and again, and the house, the story, always contains more than you saw the last time. It also has a sturdy sense of itself of being built out of its own necessity, not just to shelter or beguile you."
