When you're safe at home you wish you were having an adventure; when you're having an adventure you wish you were safe at home
by Thornton Wilder

I believe that this quote summarizes pretty well my day. Woke up at 4am in order to be at the airport at 5am, only to discover that my flight was cancelled. Waiting and hoping to get a re-route, eventually did, ran, got on time. Landed in Vienna with delay, another running needed but only to wait 40 minutes in the plane for other delayed guests. Funnily enough I arrived in Frankfurt 30 minutes earlier than with the original connection.

Somehow today I am running on emergency batteries, I am in between. My body in in Germany, but I think my soul is still flying.

I will try to find myself and then I will finally be able to catch up with all the blogs.

Sounds as if you had quite a time of it getting back to Germany! Hope you're not too exhausted. You'll be glad to sleep in your own bed again tonight I expect!

Motto

"A story is not like a road to follow … it's more like a house. You go inside and stay there for a while, wandering back and forth and settling where you like and discovering how the room and corridors relate to each other, how the world outside is altered by being viewed from these windows. And you, the visitor, the reader, are altered as well by being in this enclosed space, whether it is ample and easy or full of crooked turns, or sparsely or opulently furnished. You can go back again and again, and the house, the story, always contains more than you saw the last time. It also has a sturdy sense of itself of being built out of its own necessity, not just to shelter or beguile you."
