This week's topic on the Blogging for Fun kind of suits our community, right?

Motto:
and with the radio blasting
goes cruising just as fast as she can now

inspired by the Beach Boys song:

These two lines from the song remind me of a wonderful afternoon spend in Romania, with my best friend Moni, coming from a common training session. We had a long hard working weekend behind us, the event being located in the mountains, around 250kms away from home. We were the last to leave, being also the organisers. A lovely Sunday afternoon, what you associate with a summer day, the sun is shining, the birds are happily singing, a cool breeze was present. A perfect day to drive!

Moni was the driver, since it was her car, so the two of us on the road, with Anastacia music loud in our ears, we laughing and having fun. I wish that I was a true poet to describe how this memory is impregnanted in my head, simply gorgeous.

I have to admit that we when we arrived at our destination, we felt sorry that the road was not longer. I somehow believed that that moment in time made our friendship stronger and until now I am thankful to you Moni, for being my dear friend!

@Linda - as important as it is for me to read your thoughts! Thank you!

What a wonderful memory you've shared here, Claudia. It truly is those unexpectedly lovely and frequently such simple events that make the most lasting impression on us through life.

@Desiree - thank you, you are absolutely right!

Motto

"A story is not like a road to follow … it's more like a house. You go inside and stay there for a while, wandering back and forth and settling where you like and discovering how the room and corridors relate to each other, how the world outside is altered by being viewed from these windows. And you, the visitor, the reader, are altered as well by being in this enclosed space, whether it is ample and easy or full of crooked turns, or sparsely or opulently furnished. You can go back again and again, and the house, the story, always contains more than you saw the last time. It also has a sturdy sense of itself of being built out of its own necessity, not just to shelter or beguile you."
