Storm

Motto:

A few minutes ago every tree was excited, bowing to the roaring storm, waving, swirling, tossing their branches in glorious enthusiasm like worship. But though to the outer ear these trees are now silent, their songs never cease.
John Muir

During the last weeks I have experienced many storms , and today I realised that somehow the nature is a reflection of my own thoughts. In the end, after every storm the sun will smile; for every problem there is a solution, and maybe I need to see the power around me to realise how I progress.

Tagore said if wonderfully: 'Clouds come floating into my life, no longer to carry rain or usher storm, but to add color to my sunset sky.'

So I should appreciate the colour that the storms bring right?

Dark clouds rolling in
Pearly rain droping down
Sudden blue discovered

Enjoy the weekend!

It's been a very stormy few weeks here, too. I love a good storm. Just so no one gets hurt, I say bring on the rain and the thunder and the magnificent bolts of lightning!

@Beth - I agree, the best is to be at home, with a nice cup of coffee and enjoy the experience!

Oh, I love The descriptive opening to this post, Claudia...John Muir's words are so poetic and vivid. A master wordsmith at his best!

In light of an earlier post, this is exactly how life is, isn't it? One moment things can seem awry and life is tossing and hurling challenges and upheaval in your direction...but, once it passes, we have time to quietly take stock and learn the lessons. Nothing lasts forever.

I LOVE the quote by Tagore!!!

@Desiree - that is life indeed! And Tagore is amazing with words!

I'm liking the video Claudia - and your ability to take what life throws at you and come back fighting :)

@Sarah - there are only two options: either you accept you are down or you try to get up :-)

Even after the most enduring and fiercest storms--the sun comes out and the birds start chirping again.

I love to watch a magnificent storm--just so long as there is no one hurt or any damage.

Cheers, Jenn.

If I have to say most of my adult life has been dealing with storms. You can tell that from my blog. But I somehow never seemed to let it get to me. Yes, I'd come home from work after having a bad day and just go to bed so the day would be over. Sure I've dealt with drama in personal family issues. But I chose to look at it like a challenge and I always looked forward to the beautiful blue sky with big fluffy clouds each day. I think you are much the same way. Hugs.

I grew up on Lake Minnetonka in Minnesota. I loved watching the storms come in. I still love a great storm as long as we are safe. The calm after the storm, that is life huh?

@Jenn - I agree with you, the sun always shines in the end, and yes, from a safe place it's better to be an observant than a participant!
@Barb - I believe we are very similar indeed! I think yoi understand what I mean!
@Laura - life indeed!

Motto

"A story is not like a road to follow … it's more like a house. You go inside and stay there for a while, wandering back and forth and settling where you like and discovering how the room and corridors relate to each other, how the world outside is altered by being viewed from these windows. And you, the visitor, the reader, are altered as well by being in this enclosed space, whether it is ample and easy or full of crooked turns, or sparsely or opulently furnished. You can go back again and again, and the house, the story, always contains more than you saw the last time. It also has a sturdy sense of itself of being built out of its own necessity, not just to shelter or beguile you."
