Wednesday Hodgepodge

Posted by Claudia Moser on 5:03 PM in

Beth is an inspiration for me for so many time, so here I try to asnwer some of this week's questions:

1. Have you ever been 'asked' to report for jury duty? Were you chosen to serve? If not, were you happy or disappointed?

Not living in USA this does not apply :)

2. On a scale of 1-10 (with 10 being very), how mechanically inclined are you? Give an example to back up your answer.

I guess a 7 :) I could actually install things, but I rely a lot on my husband, don't blame me :))

3. Beets-cabbage-cauliflower-butternut squash....of the four, which is your favorite fall vegetable?

Beet for sure, then cauliflower. Actually I love vegetables in all forms, colours, shapes. Plus autumn is here with its amazing mix, a true celebration.

4. What do you recommend to overcome self-pity?

Breathe and start again analysing the situation, it usually works!

5. Do you enjoy classical music?

For sure! I just remembered my May Challenge where I shared many of my musical favourites. It relaxes me and provides a wonderful escape from daily worries.

6. October is National Book Month...what's on your reading list this month?

Oh my God, don't get nme started. Plus this week is the world largest book fair organised in Frankfurt so guess where will I be buying stuff on Sunday? Cannot wait!!!!

7. What is your idea of 'cute'?

Puppies :)

8. Insert your own random thought here.

I'm hungry, since 8am I only ate cookies and that is not good at all :)

I like your answers. (Have you ever tried roasting cauliflower in the oven, sprinkled with olive oil and salt? YUM! Just sayin'. :))

Go eat something before you fall over woman :-)

Strangely enough, I've just seen these very same questions on the blog that I have just read! I like Darlene's idea about roasting the cauliflower in the oven, sprinkled with olive oil and salt. Must try that one! My favourite would be butternut squash, especially at this time of the year. Hugs.

Good evening Claudia, I like your answers :)

I love #8. I do things like that all the time and wonder why I'm so hungry at night. You're funny!

I love finding out these random things about you Claudia...it makes you so real...and I always have a smile on my face while reading them...
Hugs!

@Darlene - will try this weekend, I planned some lamb so I guess it will complement it wonderfully! Thanks!
@Sarah - I did eventually, and it felt very good!
@Diane - well yes, these questions do travel a lot on line. How do you the squash?
@Eva - hello :) and thank you!
@Barb - sadly that happens pretty often when on business trips!
@Sush - thank you so much, I believe honesty should always be present even in blog posts!

Motto

"A story is not like a road to follow … it's more like a house. You go inside and stay there for a while, wandering back and forth and settling where you like and discovering how the room and corridors relate to each other, how the world outside is altered by being viewed from these windows. And you, the visitor, the reader, are altered as well by being in this enclosed space, whether it is ample and easy or full of crooked turns, or sparsely or opulently furnished. You can go back again and again, and the house, the story, always contains more than you saw the last time. It also has a sturdy sense of itself of being built out of its own necessity, not just to shelter or beguile you."
