After a very strange week, being sick, attending a workshop not at full energy, I was looking forward for this Saturday. I just wanted to relax, to enjoy my presence.

I started with a visit to my hair dresser, since I believe that if you pamper your exterior, your interior will follow. Great cut, felt at least a couple of months younger :)

Some small shopping and then I went into the kitchen and I cooked and baked.

Jamie Oliver is always an inspiration, and here I was with my sheperd's pie and smiling. I hope that our friend Marion will enjoy it tonight.

And then I stared these amazing rolls, very time consuming but I cannot wait to taste them tomorrow. The recipe for the Honey Potato Rolls can be found here

Life is good and I am grateful that my cold is fading!

Happy Saturday...

I'm so glad you're feeling better, and you got to spend the day doing things you enjoy :-)

Like Sarah, I'm so glad that you are now feeling a bit better. Hope your meal with your friend is going well, and those rolls look wonderful! Enjoy the rest of the weekend.

@Sarah - the day was perfect because it was so simple!
@Diane - she did tell me that the food was good :) and my rolls are delicious!

It sounds as though you treated yourself gently today. Good for you! Hope you'll be feeling even better tomorrow. xo

@Desiree - I hope I will be recovered 100% by Monday!

Sometimes it is fun to spend a day baking and cooking. Glad you are getting better.

Nothing like warm bread. Hope you're feeling better.

Sounds like a perfect Saturday and we all deserve to have a weekend of poor bliss and sometimes it just doesnt happen.

Hi Claudia,
I'm happy to hear that you're feeling much better. A self pamper is always a good idea. Those buns looks yummy. I am a bit late so I'll say Happy Sunday instead!
Hugs x

Glad that you're feeling better. I always put off getting my hair cut for way too long. I don't know why because I feel so much better when I do!
The rolls look yummy!

So glad you're feeling better :) haircuts have healing properties I swear!

@Belle - yes, my body is recovering under the influence of so many calories :)))
@Linda - so true, loved the smell. Should experiment some more!
@Luan - for sure we all do, just take it!
@Eva - happy Sunday as well!
@Laura - it is such an easy feel good activity, love the hairdresser hair wash!

"A story is not like a road to follow … it's more like a house. You go inside and stay there for a while, wandering back and forth and settling where you like and discovering how the room and corridors relate to each other, how the world outside is altered by being viewed from these windows. And you, the visitor, the reader, are altered as well by being in this enclosed space, whether it is ample and easy or full of crooked turns, or sparsely or opulently furnished. You can go back again and again, and the house, the story, always contains more than you saw the last time. It also has a sturdy sense of itself of being built out of its own necessity, not just to shelter or beguile you."
