I missed ...

Something you regret not having done last year is a hard one, since I am of belief that one should not dwell upon the past or what ifs.

But anyway, one lesson I hoped I did learn in 2011 is the fact that during the summer I should take a break, a holiday longer than 3 days. It took Peter and I more than 10 months to go on a real holiday and this year we intend to take one in June or July.

And where would I go? Well Bali sounds nice :)

What about you, do you have any regrets in respect to 2011?

Bali sounds wonderful, and I agree that you really should make sure that you have a holiday, because you work so hard all year. Like you, I try not to have any regrets, and since my best friend died a couple of years ago, I really do try to make the most of each day. Enjoy your weekend my friend.

@Diane - sorry for your friend, that must be very hard. I cannot imagine my life without my best friend. Enjoy your weekend too!

If you can get to Bali, then I'd go there if I were you. That sounds fabulous.

I regret not eating properly or exercising in 2011, but am making up for it now. Forward march! :)

Looks like a beautiful place to vacation. Have fun!

I would love to go to Bali or any of the South Pacific islands. So beautiful and lush.

Bali sound/looks nice! You should definitely go and visit!

Regrets in 2011 - oh, I'd rather think of them as opportunities... opportunities to listen more to my husband, to worry less and enjoy life more :) I did have a wonderful experience in 2011, and that was to find God again, during the baptism of my dear friend and neighbor.

@Lynn - if I have the chance to go to Bali I will for sure :) as for eating, I do understand!
@Susanne - there are so many great places in his world!
@SJerZGirl - I so agree with you :)
@Bibi - great approach in life!

I have been to Bali, I think it would be a place for you. Mauritius is also lovely.

@Sofia - thank you for the recommendation ;) sounds great!

Bali sounds wonderful! I can't remember the last real vacation we've taken. We've gone out of town to drop kids off in college and what not, but going somewhere just to relax and have fun? It's been ages.

Motto

"A story is not like a road to follow … it's more like a house. You go inside and stay there for a while, wandering back and forth and settling where you like and discovering how the room and corridors relate to each other, how the world outside is altered by being viewed from these windows. And you, the visitor, the reader, are altered as well by being in this enclosed space, whether it is ample and easy or full of crooked turns, or sparsely or opulently furnished. You can go back again and again, and the house, the story, always contains more than you saw the last time. It also has a sturdy sense of itself of being built out of its own necessity, not just to shelter or beguile you."
