Posted by Claudia Moser on 7:50 AM in ,
Something easy and yummy, enjoy!

Ingredients

2 teaspoons butter
4 eggs
4 slices processed American cheese
8 slices toasted white bread
salt and pepper to taste
2 tablespoons mayonnaise
2 tablespoons ketchup

Directions

In a large skillet, melt butter over medium high heat. Crack eggs in pan and cook to desired firmness. Just before eggs are cooked, place a slice of cheese over each egg.
After cheese has melted, place each egg on a toasted slice of bread. Season eggs with salt and pepper. Spread mayonnaise and ketchup on remaining slices of bread and cover eggs with bread to make 4 sandwiches. Serve warm.

I'm trying so hard to be good
and to eat healthily and to eat more fruit and veg and then you post this
and now have me dribbling at the mouth.

It looks delicious,
yum, yum.......

Maybe next month I could treat myself!

I love egg sandwiches. I like them just with the mayo and not the ketchup but could eat it your way if I had to. Yummm!

@Fiona - you are good, so good :) I am just not able to resist the cheese temptation :)
@Barb - mayo is also good, do you warm it up?

@Karoline - thank you :)

Motto

"A story is not like a road to follow … it's more like a house. You go inside and stay there for a while, wandering back and forth and settling where you like and discovering how the room and corridors relate to each other, how the world outside is altered by being viewed from these windows. And you, the visitor, the reader, are altered as well by being in this enclosed space, whether it is ample and easy or full of crooked turns, or sparsely or opulently furnished. You can go back again and again, and the house, the story, always contains more than you saw the last time. It also has a sturdy sense of itself of being built out of its own necessity, not just to shelter or beguile you."
