I am excited to get to meet new bloggers through this challenge. Wishing you well as we complete this together.
I have never read the book, but there is a most wonderful adaptation to be find here, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KisuGP2lcPs . Thanks for sharing your knowledge and I look forward to more ladies!
I LOVE this. Can't wait to come back every day. Such a good choice of topics!

Awesome theme! Can't wait to see who you come up with.
And I'll be by every so often, since I'm your blog's minion. ;-)

Pride and Prejudice is one of my all-time favourites! Look forward to more of your posts, Claudia (and bet I can guess your B author!)

@Dobson - indeed, looking forward to the third challenge!

@Karen - so very kind of you

@Paula - actually I believe that B will be a surprise for you :)
What a fabulous theme, Claudia.
I am a huge Jane Austen fan...your quotes just lit up my face as I read them.
Pride and Prejudice is without a doubt one of the true classics - I have the two discs (the BBC version) playing all the time as background when I am busy around the house. :)

What a great theme, Claudia! I have to confess to not having read "Pride and Prejudice" yet. Shameful for an English major to admit, but I didn't read "Vanity Fair" until two years ago, and P&P is definitely on my list. I'm going to love following you this month!
I fell in love with Jane Austen's works at age 11 - and can re-read them time and again. Great choice of them, Claudia.
Hi Claudia. I can't believe that the April A - Z Challenge is here again either! I love what you are doing this year, with famous female authors, and I look forward to reading about them each day. Pride & Prejudice is a lovely book!
Nice one. This lit major <3's Jane Austin.
Happy A to Z!
(I'm doing EIGHT blogs. Whew.)
Here's one:
A is for Absent - Rhymed Acrostics from A to Z
That's funny, because Jane Austin was also my choice, but I found out we hadn't read her book as as a group, so decided on Sally Armstrong.
Thanks for stopping by my blog.

I love Jane Austen. I bought an old copy of Pride and Prejudice in Santa Cruz a few weeks ago. Need to dust it off and read it! Nice post, Claudia!
I've read a lot, but would you believe I've never read Jane Austin? I guess I need to get busy.

Lovely theme you chose! I look forward to finding some tried and true favorites and most likely a surprise or two!
This is a great theme! I am looking forward to hearing about the other female authors you'll be posting about... I'm sure I'll learn about a few I don't already know.
That's so fun! Can't wait to see more of your posts, female author celebration is right up my alley. I'm writing disjointed fiction (it's all related, but no way to know how until the end! :p), with 'imaginary' as my theme. Looking forward to seeing more of your posts!
So glad to read your comments, I am so happy that you found my theme appealing, and I do hope that by the end of April you will discover some new authors which I learned to love! Thank you!
