BlogFest 2012 Day 8 - If I Ruled the World

Posted by Claudia Moser on 2:22 PM in , ,
For sure only Jo could challenge us with such a prompt, this lady has always some tricks in her bag, by the way do follow her and you will get some great pieces of writing, trust me!

But I digress, now let me transpose myself in the world ruler, but please be aware that you will be dissapointed, since my idea is rather simple - I just wish peace on earth, understanding, freedom of speech. I simply hope that one day this dream will come true and we will find the way to find satisfaction in the simple things.

At the end do listen to Coldplay's Viva la Vida, with some powerful suiting words:

I used to rule the world
Seas would rise when I gave the word
Now in the morning I sleep alone
Sweep the streets I used to own

Sometimes Claudia, the simple things are the best, and what you would do if you were a Ruler are exactly the things that I would wish for. Claudia for Ruler I say!!!

I like simple--for sure!!

Cheers, Jenn.

Simple, in a complex sort of way. ;-)

And now I sleep alone...well, at least there is lots of room to toss and turn!

Just looking for the silver lining here.

Thank you for the kindness with which you began this lovely piece. I ♥ you too!

@Diane - that is sweet of you
@Jenn - good!
@Jacqueline - true
@Jo - you are one great person, you deserve all the best!

Motto

"A story is not like a road to follow … it's more like a house. You go inside and stay there for a while, wandering back and forth and settling where you like and discovering how the room and corridors relate to each other, how the world outside is altered by being viewed from these windows. And you, the visitor, the reader, are altered as well by being in this enclosed space, whether it is ample and easy or full of crooked turns, or sparsely or opulently furnished. You can go back again and again, and the house, the story, always contains more than you saw the last time. It also has a sturdy sense of itself of being built out of its own necessity, not just to shelter or beguile you."
